It always nice to see an church or other house of worship that is connected to an earlier part of our history (i.e. immigration, colonization by a non-English speaking nation) still thriving or at least holding on. Personally, it helps remind me of the different people that have come together to make us what we are. In addition, I’m always fascinated by that which is different.

It does have an active congregation, and they take very good care of the building–they won a preservation award a couple of years ago.

I especially love the picture of the Russian Orthodox Church. Is it still an active church? It looks like it’s very well kept up.

Oh I much prefer the glory of these trees and buildings to plastic witches.. We often make fun of what terrifies or confuses us.. Trees are much easier to love.. c
